Charlesgate Park has been the focus of a major community-led revitalization effort since 2017, when we partnered with the Charlesgate Alliance and DCR to reimagine this 13-acre green space and reconnect a long-overlooked link in the Emerald Necklace. Building on an extensive public planning process and a conceptual design by Landing Studio, the project secured significant state and local funding to advance a final design featuring amenities such as a large dog park, inclusive play spaces, and ecological improvements to the Muddy River. The effort also aligns with planned transportation upgrades, including a redesigned bridge connection that better links Charlesgate to the Back Bay Fens.
