Where the Water Whispers
About
The Babbling Brook refers to the portion of the Muddy River that flows between Olmsted Park's Wards Pond and Leverett Pond. For much of its path, the waterway flows alongside the former Riverdale Parkway, providing bicyclists and pedestrians with the pleasant sound of running water along their route. In 2006, the "brook" was restored via a dredging and replanting project that, among other benefits, restored the eponymous "babble." Pause and take a listen as you walk by!
