The Hunnewell Building has wheelchair-accessible restrooms and is located at the accessible Arborway Gate. Manual wheelchairs are available free of charge at the Visitor Center on a first-come, first-served basis.

About
Designed by architect Alexander Wadsworth Longfellow, Jr. in 1892 and built in 1903, the stately Hunnewell Building serves as the Arnold Arboretum's administrative office and as its visitor center. It also houses the Arboretum's extensive Horticultural Library, which houses more than 25,000 documents and 40,000 photographs.
Exhibits within the building include a scale interpretive model of the Arboretum, information displays, rotating art exhibits and more. Public restrooms are also available.

did you know?
A cucumbertree magnolia grows just outside the Arborway Gate near the Hunnewell Building. It's one of the largest magnolia species, and its unusual fruits develop into cylindrical pods that look like tiny cucumbers.
